Castleton with Andrew Zatman

Tues 12^th Sept   Castleton  leader  Andrew Zatman

Hike starting in Castleton, Derbyshire including a possible boat ride!

• We will meet at the main car park S33 8WHin the middle of the village at 10 AM.
• There will be an initial climb to Hollins Cross from which there will be a fabulous view of both Castleton and Edale
• there is then a long descent towards Edale where we can have a cup of tea before we climb up to the top of Mam Tor
• we then continue the descent past Windy Knoll cave  followed by the fabulous walk through Winnats Pass and Speedwell Cavern when (if it is open) we can take an underground boat ride to the huge subterranean lake.
• the walk will then finish at a brisk pace when hopefully we will hopefully be able to have a cream tea.
