Around 1997 Leonard Gordon said to Will Kintish “Come hiking next Wednesday?”
“I’m working Len” “Come on Will you work too hard as it is. Come and have a day off”
So Will went along and that was how it all started.. The next month Maurice joined us and it went from there.
Will ‘ran’ the club until the mid-noughties
…then John Thompson took over
And apart from a couple of years where we stopped walking it has been going continuously since 1997.
As Will is a bit of an authority on networking skills he suggested whether we are ‘booted and suited’ or in our gaiters, boots and warm winter woollies if you’re talking you’re networking. So whether or not you are working or retired this is a great day out for you. Lots of really nice people who just walk and talk.
