Silverdale and the Knott

A nice mixture of coastal and woodland walking with fine views from the Knott over the estuary to the Lake District and beyond.   If it is wet be prepared for slippery limestone. Packed lunch best.

Meet at 11.00 ( avoiding M6 commuter traffic)  ready to walk at the fountain on the promenade at Arnside-postcode LA5 0AA, on the corner of Silverdale Rd.  It’ll be around 8-9 miles, including climbing the Knott .

If anyone wishes to travel by train I could pick up at Lancaster; Carnforth or Arnside stations.
