Rivington Reservoirs with Martin Deacon

This walk will be a very pleasant circular walk taking in Rivington,  Anglezarke, and  Yarrow Reservoirs.  The walk will contain woodland, reservoirs, open valleys and farmland.   

Distance approx. 9 miles with not much climbing but it can be wet underfoot in places.

Our meeting point will be Rivington Bowling Club and Tea Rooms which will be open for refreshments after our walk.

Directions from the M61.

Exit at junction 6 go past the Macron Stadium (on your left). Go left at the 2nd roundabout signposted Horwich A673  (Beehive Pub directly ahead).   Go through Horwich and go over the next roundabout and take first right after 20 yards up Lever Park Avenue (big stone gateposts).  Drive through the park and Rivington village and the Bowling Club is on your right just before the reservoir.
